•  Reducing agent - Purification and isolation of aldehyde and Ketone
•  Destruction of bromine waste
•  Preparation of indigo vats dyes.
•  Manufacture of sulphosuccinates and sodium formaldehyde bisulphate.
•  Detoxification agent of chromic acid in
electroplating.
•  Sulphonated oil.
•  Sulphonated resin.
•  Starch production as bacteriostatic.
•  In silage treatment as antifermentation.
•  In sugar industry to assure sterile conditions and to decolorize thin juice.

Dechlorination
•  In desalting plants with reverse osmosis for removal of residual Chlorine.
•  Membrane protection in caustic soda plant.
•  Drinking water treatment to remove residual Chlorine.

Leather industry
In tanning as an acidifying agent, a solubilizing agent for tannis and pulp & paper.
